Marie R. Vaughan Cadmus is the author of  Debut memoir

“Roses Among Thorns: Flourishing in the Midst of Adversity.”

Inspired and mandated by Jesus Christ to tell her life story, Marie has blossomed into “a message of hope”

​

Originally from Kingston, Jamaica, Marie's life had been marred by emotional pain, beginning with the death of her father. From the time she was eight years old, she experienced the traumatic afflictions of sexual abuse, rape, to deep internal depression. Her pain progressed to suicidal attempts, divorce, and rejection which all eventually lead to a mental breakdown. Despite these life challenges, Marie lives to tell the story of how she rose to victory

Currently, an intern counsellor, my credentials consist of

• Mental Health and Addiction,

• Diploma in Christian Counselling, from Cornerstone Academy of Biblical Studies

 

With an educational background and personal experience, her area of counselling focuses on the areas of

 

• Trauma

• Sexual abuse/Rape, Grief/Bereavement,

• Suicide, Depression, and Spirituality. 

​

A firm believer that individuals scarred by emotional pain, depression, and anxiety pain may receive healing and deliverance through the grace of God coupled with a client-centred approach. 

 

“Roses Among Thorns: Flourishing in the midst of Adversity” which is her first of many books, is a tremendous testimony of how God can take a life and turn it around for his good.
